Developers and industry,

Meet AugmentOS-SDK

Why build for smart glasses using AugmentOS instead of another mobile operating system? Because the AugmentOS SDK is the best way to write a smart glasses app:

Develop for AugmentOS-SDK

AugmentOS is the fully open source OS for wearables.

The AugmentOS-SDK allows any existing app to run as an AugmentOS app, on the edge or in the cloud. AugmentOS 1.0 supports edge apps – Android Java/Kotlin/React Native apps that run on the edge. AugmentOS will soon support cloud apps as well – you can write a cloud app that AugmentOS will stream data to, and accept data from to show on the glasses.

For docs and setup, checkout the AugmentOS-SDK docs here: docs.augmentos.org

Why are we building AugmentOS?

We believe building an open-source, community driven operating system/ecosystem for smart glasses is the best path to ensure that the next personal computing device works to upgrade humanity for the better. We’re building the open, self-empowered, augmented future.
